Advantages and disadvantages of fluoroelastomer O-rings (FKM)
Fluorine rubber O-ring (FKM) is an organic elastomer consisting of a single copolymer containing fluorine. Its temperature resistance is up to 300℃, corrosion resistance and oil resistance is the best among oil resistant rubber. Good resistance to high vacuum; electrical insulation. Mechanical properties. Solvent corrosion resistance. Ozone resistance. Excellent resistance to atmospheric aging. Application temperature category: -40℃~+300℃.
FluoroCarbon Rubber There are various types of rubber containing fluorine in the molecule according to the fluorine content (i.e., individual structure). Currently, DuPont is using the widely used hexafluorinated series of fluorine rubber “Viton” for the first time. It has better high temperature resistance than silicone and has excellent chemical resistance. It is resistant to most oils and solvents, aging and ozone; the general temperature range is -20~300℃. Unique formulation can withstand low temperatures up to -40°C.

Disadvantages.
Ketones, low molecular weight lipids and mixtures containing nitriles are not recommended. Vehicles . Locomotives . Diesel engines and fuel systems.
